A. Procedure for renting a vehicle
Dispatch of booking with whichever means is convenient to you. It is possible to reserve your rental throughout the year either by completing the on-line reservation form on our website, by sending us an e-mail, or by calling Trust Rentals at tel: 00.30.6931229999. You can also reserve by calling our head reservation office in Kos at tel: 00 30 22420 41300 from May 1st to October 31st. Payment and receipt procedure: In order for your booking to be valid, the full amount must be paid. Payment can be made online using our secure server PAYPAL with your credit card (Visa - MasterCard). Confirmation and receipt of payment is available upon collection of the funds, from PAYPAL. The original receipt will be delivered upon pick up of the car.
B. Rental requirements
Driver must be at least 23 years of age for groups A-B and at least 25 years of age for groups C-D-E-F European Union driver's licence must be at least one year old from date of issue. International Driver licenses have to be valid. Expired international licences will not be accepted.Failure to present your driver's license on the initial day of pickup, will lead to a non-refundable cancellation of the contract. Credit Card (Visa – MasterCard) is required for insurance purposes, unless the Super Collision Damage Waiver insurance option is chosen.
C. General Terms of Rental
The minimum rental charge is 1 day. All car prices include unlimited mileage with the exception of certain vehicles for which a mileage restriction is clearly agreed upon. Delivery and pick up of the vehicle is free. From/to the airport and port delivery is free from 08:00 to 20:00, the remaining hours it costs an extra 30.00€ each way. Tax of 16% is included in the total amount. Petrol consumption is charged to the customer. Tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during rental period are solely the customer's responsibility. In case violation responsibilities are ignored, they will be dealt at the European Union Court of Law. The vehicle may be used ONLY for legal purposes. Rentals cannot be ferried to and from the island of Kos, they are legal to drive only within the island of Kos. The customer cannot travel outside the borders of Kos. Extension of rental beyond the agreed terminating date cannot take place without the advanced written authorization of Trust Rentals, and the required advanced payment must be made in order for the insurance coverage to be extended. Failure to do so may cause violation of the law as the customer can be driving illegally and without insurance. In order to make a modification you have to cancel your initial booking in order to make a newone.The modification has to be made 5 days prior to delivery at the cost of 20€
D. Insurance coverage
Customers are insured for public liability insurance, third party property damage insurance, fire and theft of the vehicle with the collision Damage Waiver option, up to 500.000€ with excluding fee (excess) of 500€. A daily extra charge of 5€ will reduce the excluding fee (excess) of the insurance coverage to 200€. Customers can obtain Personal Accident Insurance up to 15.000€ at a small daily extra charge. The insurance does not cover any damages that may occur in case the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Damages are not covered in case the car has been engaged in vehicle racing or has been engaged in other illegal actions. Damages in the interior of the vehicle, under the vehicle and tires, are covered only if the choice of insurance coverage is the Full Protection option (Super Collision Damage Waiver) with 0.00€ excluding (excess). In general the customer should know that any insurance company does not cover the following: - The moment the vehicle is on a ship or ferryboat.- Fines and/or penalties imposed by administrative, police or judicial authorities, due to law violations or police orders. Due to insurance rules you are required to fit the child seat yourself. If the vehicle's extended damages prolong repairs for a long period, the insurance does not cover the missed rental days of the vehicle
D1. Optional Insurance
When you reach your destination you have the insurance options D2 and D3 to chose from, in order to reduce or eliminate the excluding fee (excess).
D2. Collision Damage Waiver
In case the customer is responsible for the accident, the highest possible amount that the customer has to pay is the excluding fee (excess) of 500€. A daily extra charge of 5€ will reduce the excluding fee (excess) of the insurance coverage to 200€.
D3. Super Collision Damage Waiver
A daily extra charge of 10€ will eliminate the excluding fee (excess) completely (0.00€) from the insurance coverage. In this package, damages in the interior of the vehicle, under the vehicle, the tires, lose of the key and any damage to the windshield is all covered.
E. Administration of accidents, mechanical damages, lost keys
Traffic accidents:
In case of an accident within the duration of the rental agreement, the driver if capable must at first take care for his own safety and the safety of the passengers. It is obligatory that in any accident the driver must call the police for a written report to be filled out by the police officer, including a breathalyser test. Then he must inform Trust Rentals. Whether the driver is responsible or not for the accident is determined solely by the police report and not the driver
Mechanical damages
The vehicles of Trust Rentals are new and delivered in excellent condition. Mechanical damages are always a possibility though. All the vehicles of Trust Rentals are covered by road assistance. In case of any mechanical damage the driver can call during working hours from 08:00 to 21:00 at Trust Rentals. Trust Rentals will send road assistance to check the condition of the damage. If the damage can be fixed instantly, then, the road assistance restores the damage on the spot and the rental continues. If the damage cannot be repaired instantly, then Trust Rentals sends a replacement vehicle in exchange of the original rental. During the off-work hours (21:00 - 08:00) the customer can call the road service himself at tel:00.30.69.999-TRUST(87878). The replacement time depends on the distance with respect to the closest office. Usually the time needed does not exceed 1-2 hours.
Lost keys
The keys of Trust Rentals vehicles are supplied with immobilisers. For each vehicle key there is only one spare. In case the customer loses his key, he must immediately notify Trust Rentals in order to receive the spare key, without trying in any other way to start the vehicle. The customer is charged with the cost of making a new key. Trust Rental is obligated to deliver to the customer the relative receipt from the vehicle manufacturer's agent.
Keys locked in the car
Customers must notify Trust Rentals in order to, either send a locksmith to open the vehicle or send the spare key. The customer, in this case is charged with the cost for the visit of the locksmith or the dispatch of the spare key. These charges are only covered in the Super Collision Damage Waiver insurance option.
